Planning & Execution
Pigging can remove internal deposits from a pipeline when its configuration permits safe passage of the selected tool. Pipe diameter, bends, fittings and changes in bore affect suitability. The cleaning approach is coordinated with the launcher, receiver, operating medium and the isolation arrangements. Cleaning pigs and inspection tools serve different purposes; the tool and objective are established for each job.
